I am Briana Collins.  I'm an author who writes short stories, middle grade, and YA novels.

In addition to writing, my experience includes working as a Senior Advisor at City Hall to New York City's Mayor Bloomberg where I wrote press releases and speeches for the Mayor and other appointed officials; running the Mayor's Commission for Women; serving on the board of Chicago's Neighborhood Parent Network (NPN), writing for Scholastic, Inc.'s SuperScience Magazine and The Cornell Chronicle; and being a mom to two boys (a full-time job unto itself)!

I am seeking representation for my middle-grade novel: The House on Old West End: A McKinley Kids Adventure as well as my current YA work-in-progress: 11 Good Eggs.

TESTIMONIALS

This was gripping!  Wow....as a crime writer and a real fan of true crime (that sounds ghoulish, but so be it), I found the blow off really amazing.

- C.E. Lawrence, Author of the Lee Campbell "Silent" series

Collins packs plenty of dramatic tension through sparse, lucid prose that is realistically and movingly rendered.

- Paul Coco, Author and former Associate Media Editor, Scholastic Classroom Publications

Briana Collins – for whatever genre she is writing, grips the reader immediately into the lives of others.  So perceptive

of human behavior, she is able to wind a story around emotions that we all know, that we have all felt.  Briana begins a story and the reader races to the end, only wanting more.

- Anne Sutherland Fuchs,

former Publisher of Vogue, Woman's Day, Elle, and Group Publishing Director, Hearst Magazines
